Plankton can be divided into two, namely phytoplankton and zooplankton. Phytoplankton can perform fontosynthesis therefore phytoplankton become an important component in waters and become bioindicators of water quality. The abundance and diversity of phytoplankton is different in each water body, depending on the quality of the water body. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of phytoplankton in PAMSI ponds and the potential of phytoplankton as fish food. The method used was random sampling. The results of this study are samples that show the most individuals in the upper fish pond sample of 600 individuals (30ind/L) the number of individuals obtained is still relatively low. The highest number of phytoplankton species in the large main fish pond with a total of six species. The dominant species in PAMSI ponds are Anabena sp and Pseudoanabaena. The overall diversity index value in the pamsi pond is moderate with a diversity value of more than one. Overall, the availability of phytoplankton as fish food in the PAMSI pond is still relatively insufficient so that additional feeding is still needed to optimize fish growth in the PAMSI pond.Unduhan
